Is adding the name of the person in the Biography section proper style?

I was recently told by someone who assured me that he was pre-1500 certified, but also a member of the Magna Carta Project, The Puritan Great Migration Project and the Southern Colonies Project that adding the name of the person in the Biography section is not proper formatting style.

I checked the style section and could find no rule.  I checked example profiles and saw that it done all the time e.g Virgil Ivan Grissom

What is correct?

In my opinion, how/why would one even write a biography that didn't mention the subject's name?

Also, I think that the formatting style guidelines relate more to the use and placement of the required and optional elements than to the actual text of the biography. I believe we are encouraged to use our own styles for the actual text that we write.

edit: fixed typo

Hi Norm

The George Conway profile has the heading Biography of George Conway, but my interpretation of the biography help page, would be that the heading should be formatted to be just Biography

I think that is what the person may have meant, not that the Biography section can't contain the name of the person.

The “perfectly formatted” sample profile begins the text with the name:   https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Example-2

Yes it does

Here is the link to the Biography Help page which has a link to what is described as the “perfectly formatted” example: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Biographies

Are you saying this is good or bad
It is an example profile; therefore, it is good.
