Possible Lost Photo identification - Laura Rhodes and Mrs. Andres. Can you help?

+8 votes

What a thrill! I think I may have found the women in the "Laura Rhodes and Mrs. Andres" photo on the Lost Family Photos free space page. Here are the profiles I've started: Laura Rhoades and Matilda Andres.

I'm assuming that the caption on the photo "Laura Rhodes and Mrs Andres, East 3rd St., Mitchell So Park, 1923" refers to Mitchell, South Dakota. Matilda Andres is the only Mrs. Andres in that county who looks to be of an age to suit the photo. (Her son Hudson may have been married, but he would have only have been 22 in 1923 and both women in the photo are older than that.) Laura would have been about 33, and Matilda close to 50.

What do you all think? Also, who wants to help bring these profiles up to meet the other goals of the project?

Wow Erin, this is great news! It looks like you cracked the case.

It would not surprise me if this photo came from South Dakota. Several photos from this purchased batch were also from South Dakota.
