Looking for a Elliot L. Perkins in South Kingston RI

Elliot (Eliot, Ellet, E. L.) L. Perkins was born in Washington Cty (I think in S. Kingston) in 1807 and died in S. Kingston in 1864. He was married to Mary H. Congdon and is buried in the Perkins/Congdon burial lot in Narragansett.  He had several children, one of who was Charles H. Perkins, b. 1839 of which is my great x4 grandfather.  Other children were George C. Perkins b. 1835 and Sarah Alice, b. 1844.

I cannot find his parents, although there are two lines that I have looked at, but didn't find any info on Elliot. The two lines are Nathaniel and Mary (Record) and Edward and Elizabeth (Brenton).

I would appreciate any help/thoughts of where to look for his parents. Thanks so much, Terry

Elliott L Perkins (Spelled Purkins,) in 1850 and 1860 US Census, lived in S Kingston, RI age 44 and 54 respectively, est birth 1806.  Mary K Purkins age 42 in 1850,  George C age15 in 1850, Charles HL Purkins age 11 in 1850. Sara Alice Purkins age 6 in 1850.
