We need help finding her death and burial location. The source to the findagrave memorial appears to be for a different Eva.

Any help in sourcing her better is appreciated.

Thank you

Eva's first husband was Ellis, and her second was Larsen.  Larsen married again in 1942 and died in 1957.  It's possible Eva died between 1935 and 1942, or she and Larsen divorced and she married again.  What surname to search for her death?  Probably not Ellis.

The Eva Nissen who died in 1980 has an obituary, so it's not the same person:https://www.newspapers.com/clip/74383117/eva-nissen/

Her son, Abram, died in 2006. His obituary mentions he was "Abram Burrell Ellis was born in Mabton, Wash. on July 9, 1918 and passed away in Nampa on June 11, 2006, at the age of 87. Abram grew up in children's homes and foster homes in the Seattle area" "was preceded in death by all of his siblings Clyde Ellis , Eileen Godfrey and Norval Wixom and by his son, Loren Burrell Ellis , who died in 1999 at the age of 47. "

Then, Norval's obit says "He was born May 3, 1923, in Bend, Ore., to William and Evalena (Nissen) Ellis, and was named " Norval Clair Ellis" at birth. Adopted in Seattle, Wash., by Walter and Eva (Wurth) Wixom , his name was changed to " Norval Dick Wixom ." Norval and his biological brother, Abram Burrell Ellis, met in 1975, and shortly after that he changed his name to Norval Ellis Wixom .

Herb could be right. Both boys were apparently not raised by their biological parents. They either died or abandoned the children.

Thank you I was able to find her in a directory in 1927. Your correct the other Eva is not her which is now confirmed. The sisters would help each other during hard times. It would be nice to find her burial and date of death

I think Eileen and Clyde were Twins. See DOB

The possible grave of William James Ellis Here

It’s highly likely Eva was married prior to William James Ellis based on dates and marriage record info showing 2nd marriage. William was 36 she was 20. He is listed as 1st marriage. She is listed as 2nd. The marriage with Larsen she lists as 2nd also. She also is listed as Widowed when married to Larson

Your right on track Herbert ! I agree. It appears her youngest was adopted out for (unknown) reasons; she was a widow (per marriage record) with Larsen. Also, it appears their is twins born? I think it was financially hard. The sisters helped each other a lot but a mystery for sure what cemetery she was buried. Thank you so much !

This is very sad.  In 1930, both Eva and William James Ellis were in psychiatric hospitals:

"United States Census, 1930," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XC3B-7YD : accessed 26 March 2021), Eva Ellis, Steilacoom, Pierce, Washington, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) ED 87, sheet 9A, line 3, family , NARA microfilm publication T626 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 2002), roll 2510; FHL microfilm 2,342,244.

The birthplaces (Washington, Denmark, Minnesota) tie this record to others known for Eva.

"United States Census, 1930," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XCQ9-5QD : accessed 26 March 2021), James Ellis, Sedro-Woolley, Skagit, Washington, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) ED 51, sheet 3B, line 71, family , NARA microfilm publication T626 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 2002), roll 2513; FHL microfilm 2,342,247.

Again, the birthplaces (Kansas, Missouri, Missouri) match what we know for William.

Here's the death certificate matching the FindAGrave memorial that might be William's:

"Washington Death Certificates, 1907-1960," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N356-N9T : 10 March 2018), W. James Ellis, 19 Jun 1932; citing Tieton, Yakima, Washington, reference 222, Bureau of Vital Statistics, Olympia; FHL microfilm 2,022,969.

Other than the occupation (laborer), there's not much to match to Eva's husband.  He died of a stroke, not his first, and had not worked for several years.

This is interesting. I wonder what happened ? She did remarry Larsen later so must of been discharged. This would explain the children in foster care or maybe part of the reason. Very sad and yet leaves many questions.

Thank you

Thank you

The other Eva didn’t match and yet has parallel birth and location making it difficult

No source on family search showing this death date is correct most likely is correct as it cites ancestry as the source for date of death and location.

Thank you yes
