In the "hat-box" tucked under Grandma's sofa? ;-)
Seriously, you have to be careful about going out to "find" old photos and posting them on your wikiprofiles. If you find them on another website, they most likely belong to that website or the person who put them there, and you can't just copy them for use here without their permission.
Therefore, although I was joking with my opening comment, I really wasn't... The absolute best place for old family photos is from old family. Snap a picture of the photo with your digital cam, take some notes about who, what, when, and where, and you'll have a far better end result than anything you can "find" currently online.
Good Luck! And welcome to WikiTree!

Behind other photos. I recently inherited my Dad's old photos, and found some photos are hidden behind others in photo albums and picture frames (I guess to save space).

flickr is a good source. I am a member of the flickr groups "100 years old", "Genealogy", "Historic and Old Photos", and "New England Cemeteries". There are probably other good groups too. flickr sends out updates, so you don't have to keep looking for what is new. flickr has good search capabilities, so you can search on just a surname.

I have also had people send me photos that they found at their local thrift store, just because of the surnames written on the back. I don't look in thrift stores, but I know that photos are sometimes sold at auction and they end up in a local thrift store.

Just having my name on a WikiTree profile has prompted people to send me pictures.

Good luck. Good photos are hard to find.

It's not free, but Ancestry.com has quite a few photos on-line.

Surprising answer: eBay. Many photos turn up on eBay from estate sales, etc. Sometimes they are identified or identifiable. You can search by name or place, and you can save your search so new results are emailed to you.  It would be a lucky hit, but definitely worth a try. My best finds are from aged relatives. Someone who I hadn't even realized was still alive had the best photos!
