You'll get more attention to your question if you add tags for Sweet, Ohio, and New _York.
I would gladly add these tags if I knew the process, can you give me a hint?

If you use the Edit link to edit your post, you will see below the large text-entry box a field labeled "Surnames/Tags".

You can also use the other field that's below the large box to enter "Sweet-5232" and your post will automatically link to the profile.

I see you've already added him to our database: Sweet-5232

It's unsourced, though, so if you have reliable sources about him we'd welcome their addition.

There's a possibility that Sweet-2716 is the same person. You should look carefully and if they're the same, initiate a merge.

That is not the same person, that Benjamin Sweet was one of three residing in Huron County Ohio in 1850, mine was married to Anne Barber in 1850 (married 1839) he moved on to Hancock County Illinois by 1860 and died 24 Dec 1893 and buried in Leavenworth National Cemetery, reported to be 85 years old. I believe my Benjamin was in Pickaway County Ohio in 1840 as his oldest son gave his place of birth on Civil War Enlistment Register as Circleville, Ohio 1837, There was a Benjamin Sweet in Pickaway County in 1840 US Census.

There is a website devoted to Stephentown genealogy. There is no tree for the Sweet family, but they were in town, so you can search their records. Also check the Stephentown Heritage Center / Stephentown Historical Society.
