Researching Hugh Crawford of Franklin County, South Carolina

Question

Hugh Crawford 1789 North Carolina to 1863 Franklin County, South Carolina buried in Hartwell County. Was married to Elizabeth Eddens. They were action owners and paid property taxes. I can’t figure out who Hugh’s father was.

As far as I can see, there's a Franklin County in North Carolina but not South Carolina. There doesn't seem to be a Hartwell county in either state. Can you link to the profile you're working on?

Not yet on Wikitree. Gravestone at findagrave, in Stephens County, GA. Lived in neighboring Franklin County, GA (not SC); probate there in early 1864. Per 1850 census and 1860 census was born in late 1780s in either North or South Carolina. Encountered in Franklin County, GA, tax lists as early as 1818.
