Does anyone have any information about the father of Christian Ernst Moerlien?

I am trying to find out more information about my great grandfather, Christian Ernst Moerlien. He immigrated to the St Louis area from Germany. I am unsure of the year he immigrated but in must have been before 1885 as that is the year he married my great grandmother, Menna Minnie Wehrmann. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Christian may have departed from Bremerhaven, Germany as a child with his family.

Thus far, the only lead I have found was an Anna Mahrlien (sp) that immigrated frm the Bremen port in 1859 to New Orleans then up the Mississippi to St Louis. She had a 4 year old child with her named Chris. From here, any information seems very sparse.
