Connection tool

Hi guys.

Need some help here.

How come that when Wikitree feed is showing other people I am connected to, it is ALWAYS going through my one grandmother ?

Is there anything I can do in some settings, that will let the connection tool search for ancestors through my paternal line instead ?

This is probably because your shortest path to most anybody is through this grandmother. But you do have other connections. I just checked, by clicking the little x at the top right of her box in the connection finder; this excludes her from the path for the time being.

Thank you Eva, I will try this. Will this then affect the suggestions I get in the news feed e-mails too ? I just find it very odd that it is always connections through this grandmother when actually my paternal lines of Hanmers are far closer to gentry and royalty. Maybe the broken links and the lack of much pre-1500 profiles/edits is the reason. Jo
