James Flynn born in New Brunswick Canada 1845

Question

My great great grandfather was James Caldwell ( Coldwell Colwell, Cauldwell) was born in 1804, born in Scotland or Nova Scotia (nothing definite. He married Isabel Flynn (b. Ireland !810). I know nothing about them, except they are buried in Gladwyn New Brunswick.  James (1804-1889) and Isabel Betsy (1810-1870) (isabelle, Isabella, Esibellar, Elizabeth, Betsy). Could they be connected? Child out of wedlock? An unmarried Flynn sister? James and Isabel ( Betsy) had 5 children, William was my Grandfather. Any help would be so great. I have dead ended. Sandy

According to the 1851 census James is the son of John and Anastasia Flynn:

James and Isabel Caldwell can be dounf in the 1851 census at Perth, Victoria County, NB http://data2.collectionscanada.gc.ca/e/e092/e002294507.jpg

which suggests ther were both born in New Brunswick
