I helped clean up Abraham Lincoln's profile a while ago. I feel like the sources and citations section came out pretty well. Last time I checked it was open so you should be able to look at it. The profile is http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Lincoln-103.
I assume since it automatically populates whenever you create a new profile you have the
as part of your profile. This sets up where the references are going to appear in the profile. The normal format to populate the reference list is
<ref> "reference text" </ref>
For instance if I type ...
Born 2 July 1956<ref>Firsthand Knowledge/Family History</ref>
A superscript number will appear after 1956 and the same number will appear in the reference section with "Firsthand Knowledge/Family History" written after it. Now if you want in the reference section to have your reference point to the source that requires a little adjustment. First create a section for your source.
==== Find A Grave ====
(Source citation information)
Then when you add your reference beside the fact in your profile you type
<ref>[[#Title of Source section | What you want to appear in the reference section]]
Born 2 July 1956<ref>[[#Find A Grave|Dave Williams Memorial]]
So as before a number will appear after 1956 and in the reference section a corresponding number will appear and "Dave Williams Memorial" will appear after it and if you click on "Dave Williams Memorial" it will automatically take you to the Find A Grave section you created under sources.
Hope this was not confusing and helps. If not let me know and maybe I can explain it better. There is a lot of stuff in the Lincoln profile and thought it might be easier if I pulled it out for you and/or others.
