Did George work as a barrister in the Fiji Islands in the early 1900's?

It's surely possible.  You must be asking as you have found some info on the Fiji islands, as seen on this google book page:

As well as many other references.  He's of the right period, but the name is pretty common.  Without more to go on, I'd say it's a long shot.
