Name of city in Austria, 1930s [closed]

Alfred Mayer's citizenship application gives his place of birth as Stadtschl, Austria.  It is typed over from the line above.  I cannot find that city in a list of Austria's city.  Anyone know what it might be?

Hi Beulah. It looks like Stadtschlaining to me.

Maybe it's an abbreviation for Stadtschlaining ?
