I have two census records for Richard Belshaw.  In 1861 he is married to Ann, in 1871 he is married to Hannah. There are only three members of the family that fit and the fit isn't perfect.  The quandry is summed up in the research note on his profile.

If you check the birth registrations you get:

BELSHAW, SARAH  JANE   GREEN
GRO Reference: 1868  J Quarter in CHORLTON  Volume 08C  Page 621

and:

BELSHAW, ROBERT     GREEN
GRO Reference: 1866  S Quarter in CHORLTON  Volume 08C  Page 500

Checking the deaths gives:
BELSHAW, ANN     37
GRO Reference: 1865  J Quarter in CHORLTON  Volume 08C  Page 355

Richard Belshaw is a ''Widower'' on his marriage certificate entry for Hannah Green: https://www.ancestry.co.uk/sharing/23890291?h=8cf2b0&utm
"widower"  - fantastic.  I don't have ancestry any more and so I haven't seen the marriage certificate.  Many thanks.
You're welcome.  The GRO records include the mother's maiden name for births and can be searched for free ( you do need to register ) at https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/indexes_search.asp

To track down marriages I often use FreeBMD (but they do not have images - for that I use Ancestry ) : https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl
