Are some of your details out of whack, or mine?

The two John Turners suggested in this merge are most likely the same person. I would like it a lot if the duplicate and triplicate children were given some thought. I only have the one daughter, Mary Thorpe Turner, as that is all I needed for my Ancestry site.

I would also like for us to agree that when you say "Isle, Virginia" and I say "Isle of Wight, Virginia" we are referring to the same location. I have no information about this John Turner being born in Herndon. The source you attach says John Turner was born in 1662, yet we both show 1641. Keep in mind we both attribute other trees on Ancestry as a source, plus a generic blurb about their data being the source.

This is my first "match" since I uploaded my GEDCOM. As such, I don't want to screw it up in any manor.

Joseph, merging of dupes is a painstaking process.  Parents first, then each child.  It takes time.  Anything you can do to support the process is appreciated.

Wikitree strives to have one profile for each person.  Merging is a way of accomplishing this goal.  Go ahead and merge.  You can work together to sort out details.   You will likely find that by colaberating you get more accomplished.
