Can't get my GEDCOMpare to open.

Question

I'm about to tear my hair out. I try to upload my .ged file to get the GEDCOMpare thing, I don't know what it is, and each time I get this message:

"This file appears to have been created by Wikitree. GEDCOMpare is not set up to import data into WikiTree from a file that was exported from WikiTree. If there is a need for this please request it in G2G. Thank you."

What does that mean and what am I doing wrong? I had my dna tested at My Heritage, then uploaded it here. It's a .ged file, isn't that what I'm supposed to upload? I asked at the Treehouse and noone seems to know what I'm talking about...HELP!! Please!

The file of the gedcom named in your contributions list has a name of the format used by WikiTree. Where did you get the file? Was it from a desktop genealogy program or another website? Or from WikiTree?

DNA results have nothing to do with gedcom files. If you download your DNA results from some site, it usually comes as a zipped excel file —at least that is what Ancestry does. You don’t upload DNA results to WikiTree, only the fact that you took a test, what kind and with which vendor.
