Advice before editing this pre-1700 Scholes profile?

Question

I have information to contribute to the profile of Johannes Scholes. This is what I can add:

• Baptism date.

These are the sources I am using:

• Lancashire Online Parish Clerk 
• Ancestry.com search 

My question is that I am unable to distinguish between two baptism records for Johannes (John) Scholes/Scoles. Both are in the same parish of Haslingden and have the same Father name of John. One is for 1691 and the other for 1692. I have looked at the original images of both sources. Here are the records:

Also, "Johannes flls John Scoles de Town". Lancashire, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812. Parish Registers. Haslingden.1620-1744. Pr 3016/1/3. How should I proceed, please?

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Perhaps these are one family, and the first son died early, and the second was given the same name. A look at the death records may support this hypothesis.

Also, a perusal of the baptismal records may indicate if there was more than one family headed by a John Scholes.

Are marriage records available? If so, is there more than one marriage for a John Scholes who could be the father?
