German brick wall

Question

Hi, I hit a brick wall in the German archives. I'm looking for the mother of Ernst Eggers ([[Eggers-852|Ernst Eggers (abt.1761-1845)]]), born in Lintrup/Lintrop. His father is Fredrik/Friedrich Eggers ([[Eggers-861|Fredrik Eggers (abt.1740-)]]) .Can you please help me find her?

Kr Hadersleben - The Kreis for Lintrup is Hadersleben. A Kreis is a government district (similar to a U.S. county).

AG Rödding - The Amtsgericht for Lintrup is in Rödding. The Amtsgericht is where the Lower District Court is located.

StdA Rödding - The Standesamt for Lintrup is in Rödding. The Standesamt is where the Civil Registration Office is located.

BKdo Flensburg - The Bezirkskommando for Lintrup is in Flensburg. The Bezirkskommando is the District Military Command. You can look in the BKdo to find military records.

The accompanying map show this location well inside of Denmark, I assume consistent with Dieter’s reply.

If you find the baptismal record for Ernst it is possible that it only names the father. I have found that some Evangelical Church records can be pretty sparse with detail.

Have you checked for information on him where he died, in the Netherlands?  Maybe his death record or newspaper announcement or history of the area, marriage announcement or birth announcement.  There should be family or village books for the area.

Yes I did. In the death certificate there's no information about his birth. But maybe I can find information about his immigration or naturalization. I hadn't thought of that yet. I just don't know (yet) where to find it.

I cannot find a village named Lintrup in Germany, but there is a village and parish named Lindrup Sogn in Syddanmark.

 Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Frøs Herred in the then Haderslev Amt, then to Rødding Kommune in Sønderjyllands Amt, which was merged into the "new" Vejen Kommune in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007.

Thanks for your help. The death record is in the profile and it mentions no place of birth. Familysearch and Geneanet mention place of birth Lintrop/Lintrup Hannover, but without source of this information.

I think the place of birth is right after the word geborn on the document.  But I cannot make it out.

You're right. It says 'geboren te Lintrop Koninkrijk Hannover' or 'born at Lintrop Kingdom Hanover'. So Lintrup in Denmark is out of the question. Thank you Lynn!

In the JSTOR there are some books mentioning von Egger's, I didn't go far enough into the article but/?? It is called State Service in the Eighteenth Century: The Bernstorff's in Hanover.

Thanks for all the help. I found Anna Landsdouw as spouse of Fredrik Eggers in Openarch. Just not with a son Ernst. So there is an open end.
