There is no DAR for him. And, caution. There were 2 Thomas Wade in the American Revolution. One from North Carolina. I looked at everything available, including all "trees" and some folks are mixing wives and children
The SAR and DAR sites can both be searched online.  They both have a Thomas Wade, b abt 1722, d 1786 with burial in North Carolina. That doesn't match the person you are asking about.
That's what was driving me crazy, Eddie. Thanks for double-checking.
Linda, that's what I was wondering. I think I will put his "military" status on hold until we find him. Very common name in the indexes.
Also remember that they really didn't verify information previously that was sent in with those applications, even for relatives listed with dates, or the actual military person.  Many of the SAR entries now state that new information must be provided for the connection.

Maggie, I found on the DAR website that Thomas’s father, George Wade is Patriot A119723. George Wade preformed Patriot Service. Thomas Wade is also there as his son, and Daniel is there as Thomas’s son and George’s grandson. I added the link to DAR on George’s and Thomas’s profile. I am a DAR, and I realize that many Patriot’s are not on the website. I am sorry that I could not find Thomas’s service, but I hope this helps.

Looks like you found another Thomas Wade (he's not the same Thomas as the profile - who died in 1840).

http://revwarapps.org/ -> http://revwarapps.org/r10984.pdf

It's actually Mary Wade's application for a pension based on her husband Thomas's service (in it she says they were married in Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia in the fall of 1789 "or thereabouts" and that her husband died on 1 September 1822). Her testimony was given at Giles County, Virginia, where she was a resident, on 25 August 1845, and she age was "76 (next October)".

Good find Hart!
