Hey Everyone,

I had my parents do their DNA with Living DNA (Both English and Mum has known Irish family) and I just wondered what jumped out to the experts in the community? Especially the Tuscan and Arabia

Thanks,

Dad Mum

Tuscany - 10.3% Northwest/South Germanic - 12.5%

That much Tuscany should not be "noise." The Arabia could be, or could be wrapped up in the portions of DNA that are producing the Tuscany.

You could download the raw data file and upload it (for free) to MyHeritage, FTDNA, and/or GEDmatch, and they can give you alterntive breakdowns. Perhaps they will confirm this, perhaps not. You may have to unlock this feature at MyHeritage and FTDNA for a nominal fee. But GEDmatch is completely free and has several different tools for giving you breakdowns (look for the admixture tools).

The Tuscany stands out as very weird to me
By comparison, if you have one great-great-grandparent from some distinctive region, full blooded, and no other ancestry from that region, then that grandparent will have constriubuted 6.25% of your DNA to you. So getting 10% would typically be expected to have come from a great-grandparent or great-great-grandparent.
That's interesting as 5 of the great-grandparents apparently come from Leeds, 1 from an other area of Yorkshire, 1 from Suffolk, and 1 from Cheshire. However, for one of them their father is unknown
