New member introducing myself

Hi, I was born Patricia Irene Gunsten. Although my last name is Gunsten, that is not a genetic name to my family tree. My Great Grandmother married a man by the name Gunstensen and that is how the name came to me. My biological great-grandfather was Jon Larsen of Norway. He passed shortly before his wife Ingeborg Marie Sorensdatter of Rogaland Norway left with Grandfather,  Soren Jonsen (Gunstensen aka Gunsten). She lived in Legby and is buried in Lengby, but passed in Otter tail County, MN. Soren Gunsten is burning in Mentor MN with four of his children; Virgil, Cameron, Wilfred, and Rodney. His wife, my grandmother was Jennie Christine of Mentor MN, and is buried in Mesa AZ near my parents.  My mother's side is strange. My mother was born Lorraine June Gillespie to Irene Oakly (Gillespie) and Irene was born to Edith Augusta Veath and John Oakley. Ediths tree is easy however no one has yet found the exact John Oakley. I don't think they were really married and Irene's birth was not recorded until she was in 40's. I have successfully been able to get back on my family history, but this John Oakly has been a bit stumped. I have an idea of it, I just have to prove it now. So far the blood relatives that have taken the test are either passed or do not respond to messages. If you can tell me the real story with pictures I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi, Patricia. It looks like you might have two profiles, one started today and another in 2020.  To check that out, go to the Find menu, then click Surnames, type in Gunsten.  If both are you, you will need to merge them (look at Help/Merge) or come back here for help.

Next is to begin entering the family members you have the information about. The more you enter the easier it will be to help you.

Oh - Welcome to WikiTree. You made a good choice to introduce yourself. Now we know you and we can help you find those ancestors who are a bit elusive.
