Comments re: adding parents for Catherine (Scott) Sandilands

I am not pre-1500 certified and cannot find how to complete the last necessary steps- that said, I have run across several "orphaned" profiles I cannot adopt nor add sources / link parents etc. This profile has multiple comments from different users and I have a list of sources I can provide for the addition of the parents listed below in my original inquiry.

Is there a reason the suggestions below were discounted...specifically about adding Scot-9 and Moncrieffe-24 as her parents?

Hi Becky

Obviously at the moment the profile is not managed by anyone, so there isn't anyone to respond to comments.

I'm not sure if there was a profile manager when most of the comments were added, but I do notice that most of the comments about adding parents, don't cite reliable sources and speaking personally there are often so many issues with pre-1500 profiles and many pre-1500 profiles that need work, that unless someone does cite a reliable source, I often don't have the time to investigate every comment.

However on this occasion I have, and The Scots Peerage, vol. 1, p. 75 does state that James Sandilands of Cruvie (not Lord Torpichen, that was a different branch of the family) did marry Catherine Scot, daughter of Sir William Scot of Balwery.

Though the primary source cited, an entry from the Register of the Great Seal of Scotland (Registrum Magni Sigilli Regum Scotorum) no. 3363, dated 19 March 1536/7 doesn't appear to confirm that William Scot of Balwery is her father though he is a witness.

Not sure what other sources you may have Becky?
