Help translating 1834 Danish census (Original Source)

Can someone tell me what is written in the Information field for the Jørgen Terkildsen family (Malling parish, census 1834, page 5, 18, en Gaard)?  I am researching Ane Cathrine Lorentsdatter/Lorentzdatter and hoping to find out what relationship the older (assumed) children are to her.  The census doesn't explicitly indicate that they are her children and hoping info will be revealed with the translation.  I have found birth records for the younger children (surname Jørgensdatter).

I have located her birth record (not indexed yet) and am confident she is the daughter of [[Baltzarsen-4|Lorentz Baltzarsen (1743-1827)]] and his unknown wife.  I've also located census records for 1834-1860 for what I believe to be her albiet a variation in the spelling of her surname, i.e., Lorentsdatter/Lorentzdatter/Lauritsdatter.  The details are in the Research section of her profile.    As soon as I am confident I have the right Ane Cathrine and the correct spelling of her surname, I'll create her husband's profile and that of the children.  This is my family line so especially important to me.  If anyone has info/hints to how I can locate the 1801 census, I'd be appreciative.  Thank you.

Hi

Jørgen Terkildsen M 48 gift Gaardmand
Ane Cathrine Lorentsdatter K 38 gift hans Kone
Abelone Olesdatter K 18 ugift deres Børn
Niels Sørensen M 13 ugift deres Børn
Ane Sørensdatter K 11 ugift deres Børn
Maren Jørgensdatter K 7 ugift deres Børn
Søren Jørgensen M 4 ugift deres Børn
Ole Jørgensen M 1 ugift deres Børn
Jens Sørensen M 19 ugift Tjenestekarl
Mette Lorentsdatter K 50 Enke lever af sine Midler

Census state Deres Børn = Their children (is sometimes wrong, and in this case only the 3 youngest can be his based on their names) Jens Sørensen is a farmworker, Mette Lorentsdatter most likely a sister of Ane Cathrine

The children are all hers from marriage to Ole Hansen and Søren Nielsen in 1819

Spelling of Lorentsdatter/Lorentzdatter will vary - is still same, no standard spelling at that time - Lauridsdatter/Lauritzdatter/Laursdatter is a different name (but look at the originals, transcriptions often misread this)

Found a probate at Vilhelmsborg for Ole Hansen:

616 Oluf Hansen i Storenor. 13.5.1817, fol.48. E: Anne Cathrine Lorentsdatter. .LV: far Lorents Baltsersen i Øster Skovhus. B: Abelone 9 mdr. FM: fars søskendebarn Jens Jensen i Storenor. Probate

And 2 more - also Vilhelmsborg:

707 Søren Nielsen i Malling. 16.2.1826, fol.256B. E: Anne Cathrine Lorentsdatter. LV: Jens Jørgensen sst. B: Karen 8, Niels 5, Anne 3, Kirsten 6 mdr. FM: Peder Rasmussen i Over Fløjstrup. Desuden nævnes afdødes søster Kirsten Nielsdatter g.m. Christen Jensen i Krekær og enkens søster Mette Kirstine Lorentsdatter på stedet.

712 Kirsten Sørensdatter, et barn i Malling. 22.12.1826, fol.267B. A: mor Anne Cathrine Lorentsdatter g.m. Jørgen Terkildsen på stedet, søskende Karen Sørensdatter 8, Niels Sørensen 6, Anne Sørensdatter 3, halvsøster Abelone Olufsdatter 11. FM: Peder Rasmussen i Over Fløjstrup. Afdødes far var Søren Nielsen i Malling, skifte 16.2.1826 lbnr.707. (Sml. lbnr.616).

No worries Ole.  I have not seen the site Familiehistorie before although I am very familiar with the TNG software that it runs on as I have used it since 2003 for my own family genealogy (outdated).  I'm truly impressed at first glance at the level of detail on the website and suspect tremendous amounts of time and research have gone into it.  It definitely warrants further inspection.  Do you know of an Ivan Laursen, the owner of the site?  I wonder if he has presence on WikiTree?  His site is a registered domain in Denmark.

Without any other explanation, you and Hanne are probably correct although I do question where Ane Cathrine was in 1801.  On Bente's site, I did find reference to Lorentz Baltsersen's wife's death in 1786 at the age of 41 yrs.  Her name was not mentioned.  He and Ane Pedersdatter must have married very shortly after.  If it's revealed that the Familiehistorie site is accurate, then we will know Lorentz's first wife's name.  I'm sure there is source documentation to support it.  Lorentz died on 3 Dec 1827 as the Familiehistorie states.

I really appreciate the help and support of you and Hanne in aiding me in my search.  Tomorrow is my father's chemo day so I'll have a break to clear my head. Thank you for sharing the Familiehistorie website Ole.

WikiTree just got a bigger family!!  My connection to the Familiehistorie family tree is through Anders Hansen, born 1782!  It’s a small world!! Thank you!! Happy dance!

Congratulations

No, unfortunately, I don't know Ivan Laursen. I think it is a very impressive homepage with a lot of documentation and sources as we like it a WikiTree. Together with all the stories, photos and newspaper clippings, it should be preserved at WikiTree.

You should contact him and show him what you have at WikiTree.
Yes, that is my plan Ole.  I won't lie, as much as I was excited to see his website, I was also feeling a little bummed.  As I gave it more thought, it's actually a good thing in that I will be able to validate his findings by doing my own research.  That was my goal even before you shared his link. I won't plagiarize and will concentrate on the family where our two families intersect.  Hopefully, Ivan Laursen will be willing to join WikiTree and collaborate.  I'll let you know when he responds.

The whole reason I moved to WikiTree from my personal site was to preserve my genealogy research after my death in hopes that someone else would continue where I left off.   In doing so, I have gained a wealth of friends who share my same thirst.  Ya'll are the icing on the cake!
Ole, I fired off a message to Ivan Laursen via his website only to receive a syntax error message when sending the message through his sendmail app.  I don't know if the message went through or not and will have to send a message to the TNG listserve to see if I can make contact that way.  If anyone tried to send a message, they would have received the same error so I'm not sure he is aware of the error.

On the bright side of things, with the help of Hanne Henriksen, I found out that we are related through different legs of Lorentz Baltzersen's family tree and also share one other kissing cousin, Bente Feldballe.  It's a long story!

Even more astonishing, though WikiTree's Connection Finder, is that Hanne and I are 24 Degrees from each other in our global family tree.  Even more incredible, is that the connection was made through my mother's sister's husband's brother's family and not through my Danish grandfather!  Hanne, if you are reading this, give the connection finder a try.
Ole, I was able to successfully send a message but have received no reply to date.  I'll try again this evening.
Ole,  I'm remiss in not telling you I heard from Ivan Laursen from the website Familiehistorie.  We are not directly related as he came down one leg of the tree and me another.  But we do share a 5th great grandfather, Baltzar Hansen.  I shared with him our common profile on WikiTree and explained that I was migrating away from our shared TNG platforms such that my data will survive me when the time comes.  He stated he hadn't given thought to that day but hopefully, he atleast, viewed the WikiTree profile.  Thus far, I've been able to validate all his findings with a couple exceptions.  One being the Ane Lorentsdatter that appeared in the 1787 census as a year old and the other relating to the marriage dates of Lorentz Baltsersen/Baltzsersen and Ane Pedersdatter.  Actually, neither of us have found the marriage date and Ane is not mentioned in his genealogy data that I can tell.  With the Ane being one a year after the mother died in the 1787 census year and the father remarrying thereafter, I have no clue who Ane's mother is or even if she is real.  A couple of the daughters birth years were wrong in the census as well.

It was nice bridging continents through WikiTree even if I can't call him cousin.

I think the Ane in 1787 is a mistake - not listed in probate after mother:

Århus Katedralskole Lektoratets gods:

16 Margrethe Rasmusdatter i Malling. 15.12.1786, side 68. E: Lorents Baltsersen. B: Baltser 9, Rasmus 7, Mette Kirstine 5, Kirsten 2, Else 8 uger. FM: mors svoger Rasmus Jørgensen i Randlev.

And a direct link to the probate after Lorents Baltersen 1828:

Ning Herreds skifteprotokol

Thank you again Hanne.  I did create a profile for her but have disconnected her from her parents and will leave a comment in the Research section that the profile was created due to inexperience. Hopefully, I can reuse the profile in a constructive way.  I'm amazed at your lightning speed for finding data and in awe!  Thank you for the data and link.smiley

Darlene; good to hear that you came in contact.
I will check the mysterious Ane again this evening.
