Thanks to a new cooperation, archion now makes church records of the Hildesheim diocesan archive available online. Hildesheim is the first Catholic archive to use archion to publish its digital holdings.

Nearly 450 historical directories from the Hildesheim diocesan archive are now available for use in Braunschweig, Celle, Göttingen, Hannover and Hildesheim. Accessible are baptisms, marriages, deaths, confirmations and alphabetical registers from the 17th to the 20th century.

I didn't find any catholic churchbooks on archion.

Why should this be good news. You have to pay for archion. Information about catholic churchbooks are for free on matrikula
by Manfred Diers G2G Crew (750 points)

There are Catholic Churchbooks here:

Niedersachsen: Bistumsarchiv Hildesheim.

On matricula they are free, that is right, but if they are don't online there you may search on archion.

And there are people who would pay a small contibution instead of driving to the archive and search there. You have to pay for the trip, for the search time and for a copy of each document you need.
That means it is good news for a lot of people.
I did not understand this. I found all the catholic churchbooks of Bistum Hildesheim on Matrikula for free.

Why did archion load up this. We waiting for so much Lutheran churchbooks to be online.

For me this are not good news.
