Thomas is believed to have been born between 1668 and 1688, possibly in England. He first appears in the extant tithable rolls of the Huguenot Parish of King William in 1737 and 1738 where he paid a head tax on 4 males (Fife, Vestry, pages 179 & 181) Thomas and wife Betty are in King William Parish in June 1744 per the Douglas Register page 376)
Thomas was in Dale Parish on 13 June 1748 when he made his will (Chesterfield Co, VA Will Book I, page 43) In 1749 the Dale Parish and a small part of King William Parish in Henrico Co., were formed into Chesterfield Co. His will and inventory were recorded there, witnessed by Huguenots John Chastain and Charles Ammonet. The will mentions no wife but Mary Godsey was sworn in as administratrix (Chesterfield Co., VA Court Orders, 1749-1752, page 13)
