Searching for parents of George Stoddard b 10 Sept 1833 in Ohio.

Question

I found an 1850 Ohio Census listing George's parents as John and Eunice Stoddard(Stodard) I can not find any other records or any other lineage for George W. other than John b 1795 in Vermont. I also noted an error in the 1850 Census for John, Place of birth was transcribed as Virginia but when you review the actual record it is Vermont.

I can not find a source to back up this claim, but a nummber of trees on Ancestry claim his parents to be Amos Alfred Stoddard (1804 CT-) & Amelia Horton. Maybe you can find some sources for this.
