We would love to help you find out about her ancestry.

The best, easiest, and most effective way would be for you to join WikiTree (it only takes a moment and is free), then you start with just a few basics such as your profile, your husband's, then her's.  Anything else you add will help such as her husband, any other children, any places you might know or dates.  The ones you don't, don't worry... we just start from where we are able.  Then we work together to connect her branches to the world-wide tree.

I had a lot of fun finding connections between my wife's branches and mine.  We share hundreds of ancestors, the closest of which makes us 8th cousins through her dad's side and the same through her mom's side.  And of course her parents are cousins many times over.  (as the majority of people are)
