New member introducing myself

Question

I am a new member and am hoping to find answers to move beyond some brick walls.

If anyone can help, I thank you in advance.  The following are my ancestors that I need more information on:

Unknown father of John H Walker.  John was my maternal great-grandfather.  He was born 15 Oct 1861 in Tennessee and died 28 Jul 1928 in Blowing Springs, Walker, Georgia.  His mother is listed on his death certificate Betty Payne.  I have no further information on her.  On John's death certificate it lists his unknown father as being born in Scotland. It has been said that John's unknown father never came back from the war.  

My paternal great-grandmother was Margaret Rinsie Crow.  Her first husband, John Landers was my great-grandfather.  I don't have much information on John Landers except he died before 1899 because Margaret remarried to Oliver Bradfield.  Margaret's father is listed on her death certificate as Wiley Crow.  I hit a brick wall with Wiley, then I found a loose document in a misc. file in St. Clair County Alabama Archives. It showed a CARwiley in 1870/1880 census in Gilmer County, Georgia, that had a daughter named AmaRENTHA (Rinsie?)  Any help is greatly appreciated!
