Are there any plans to fix the first-name-sorting bug?

On large categories with dozens of people with some of the same last names, it makes it cumbersome to find people.when the first names do not sort properly. See, for example, Category: Livermore, Maine.

Have you detected any pattern to the sorting?
No, but you might find one in the example I linked to.

I believe the fix for this issue has been coded and is not far from being released. The bug-fix/development item category-page-bugs-and-suggestions is currently listed under "Testing" and one of the items on there is "Sort by lnab and then first name".

For very large categories, the sorting is going to remain sorted by WikiTree ID for the time being as the sorting of these large categories was causing issues with the site. Smaller categories are sorted by last and then first names.
