The famous Horniman Museum in London says that sadly very little information about company founder John Horniman (1803-93) has survived. Wikitree seems to have traced the family back to his grandfather Robert Horniman (1736-79) and there is now an intriguing possibility that his ancestors were established in Carmarthenshire in the late 17th century as dairy goods traders. The current research is attached to his profile and any contributions to establish its provenance would be most welcome.
