Hi, My name is Elizabeth Fuller from Auckland NZ. My father John never knew his real parents. He was born in 1933 to Ruth Fuller. He was fostered by a family called Coe in Reach Cambridge. I'm a beginner. 23 and me has yielded some DNA connections to a few Fullers but only fourth cousins who I have contacted. Can anyone help please?

I'm disappointed this question hasn't had more response but that's partly due to a lack of tags. Could someone qualified add the tags ENGLAND and ADOPTION_ANGELS please.

Also Elizabeth you can contact the adoption_angels project here https://www.wikitree.com/contact/adoption/

I held off answering this as I thought someone from the Adoption Angels project might get involved but they may not have seen it.

Anyway there's something you can do right now and that's upload your DNA to the free site gedmatch. From memory you have to request a download link from the 23andme site then after 24 hours they send you the link and you can download the zip file. You then register on gedmatch and upload the kit. The point is to find cousin matches from multiple sites. You might also want to take the Ancestry and MyHeritage DNA tests to generate more hits.

As to identifying the right Ruth Fuller we need more information. When was your father born? When was he adopted? Was his birth registered as John Fuller? Do you have a birth certificate? How reliable is the information about Ruth? Was Fuller her maiden name? What was her age? Where was she from? Any clue no matter how small or seemingly irrelevant can be useful.
