What do I do when my source conflicts with another source?

My source [The Brooke Family of Whitchurch, Hampshire, England by Thomas Willing Balch, Philadelphia, 1899] conflicts with the [Brooks-750] melded genealogy currently in Wikitree.

Whenever sources disagree, that should be explained in detail in the biography section of the profile. That way when others come along with info that differs from what's there, they'll see an explanation.

As for what you should put in the actual data fields, I would use whatever the more reliable source says. In this case, the only source right now on that profile is an Ancestry tree, which is not really a source at all. So I would go with what your book says (although it was written much later, so a primary source would be even better).
