Hi Ann! It looks like you've already uploaded a GEDCOM. If so, you will now have to process your GEDCompare report. I hope you didn't make it all 3000 individuals because it does take a while to check all the potential matches in a GEDCompare report. So a smaller GEDCOM upload of around 100 individuals is preferable. Once you have examined all potential matches and either accepted or rejected the matches, the "ADD" buttons will become active next to each individual for whom you did not have matches already in WikiTree. You will then add each individual by clicking the "ADD" button. When the profile is created, the data will be pre-filled. Unfortunately, the "biography" which is generated from a GEDCOM is messy. It will have to be cleaned up removing some unnecessary stuff (referred to a "junk"), formatting sources, and so on.
I tried this when I first started on WikiTree but I quickly found I disliked the clean-up process and did not feel it saved me any time over adding profiles manually. As Brian said, because WikiTree emphasizes sourcing and accuracy, everything you add needs to be checked at some point anyway.
Whichever method you choose, I wish you all the best as you grow your branch of our WikiTree.
