What to do about names with no surnames?

I am inputting the information about Fred Sasakamoose.  He has ancestors with no surnames as that is the custom of the Cree.  How do I input these persons?

Do we have a First Nations/Aboriginal team for the Canada Project?

For Native Americans with no surname put the person’s actual name (even if several words long) in the First Name field and the name of the tribe in the LNAB/surname field and current last name field.  If the person’s name is known in both the native language and in English, include both.  This is the standard of the Native American Project, here’s an example profile: [[Cherokee-220|Whiplash Cherokee (abt.1800-abt.1864)]]

Thank you. This is new territory for my geneological contributions.

Much appreciated.
That's good to know, Kathie. I wonder if the members involved in Canada's First People's project have any further ideas on this.

Kathryn, can you try adding some more tags to your post so we might get a response from them?
This is the standard used by the Native Americans project which covers what are now the United States.  It does not include Canadian First Nations.
