Can the Relationship Finder please be improved to show direct maternal line relationship?

For example at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Arsenault-64

Under DNA Connections, have the relationship icon -><- to the right Denis Leger use this url :

https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:Connection&action=connect&person1Name=Arsenault-64&person2Name=Leger-398&relation=5&ignoreIds=

The display format is not as clear as the current relationship format but at least the display is restricted to the needed direct maternal line for the mtDNA match.

Similarly for direct paternal line and Y-DNA https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Lowe-3593

Thank you and most sincerely,

As a genetic genealogist viewing an ancestor profile

I want to see [maternal line relationships when I click the compare icon for two mtDNA testers, paternal line for y-DNA]

So that I can focus on the genetic line related to the mtDNA or y-DNA test.

Given a profile has a y-DNA or mtDNA connection

When I click the Find Relationship Icon:

Screen capture of two y-DNA connections and the relationship finder icon

Then I should see only paternal line relationships for y-DNA or maternal line relationships for mtDNA and not the closest cousin relationship across all lines.

Great idea!  Having both the paternal line and maternal line options would be nice.  Of course, I am sure there are lots of WT improvements in the wish list so I would expect that the ability to get the relationship using Special:Connection would cause this item to be a tad lower in priority.

True! There is a workaround, but it will be less confusing for folks new to genetic genealogy if we can make this happen.
Exactly why I said "Great Idea!"  ;>
