He died young at age 28 on February 2, 1869 in Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence, New York,  A distinguished service in the U.S. Civil War. Does he have a gravestone or memorial? A burial location? Was he married any children? Parental lineage? Needs connecting

That is a very interesting question, he is not mentioned in the cemetery and he is not mentioned in the book Our county of St. Lawrence although Edward and I. T. I wonder if the following reply may pertain to the I. Merry as his father? or a brother?  A shame there isn't something on him, One would think with his military career and obituary that there would be more a mention of him, unless something of the info birthdate, name he went by or location is off??

The Record of Soldiers and Officers in Military Service maintained by the Town Clerk of St. Lawrence, New York (available on www.ancestry.com) lists his father as his father as Isaac Merry and his mother as Ann Morrow.
