Where did my GEDCOM go?

Question

The last time I was on WikiTree was a couple of weeks ago. I checked my GEDCOMpare Report at that time. Today I went to use my GEDCOM to add another ancestor and the system says I've never uploaded a GEDCOM! Help!!

I'm logged in correctly afaict. My profile info is there in the header of each page under My WikiTree. I click on GEDCOM, then click on GEDCOMpare Reports and it says "You have not uploaded a GEDCOM yet."

Please don't tell me I have to start all over again!

Hi June. Could it perhaps have been longer than a couple of weeks since you actively used the file? Note that according to

a GEDCOM file

will be automatically deleted 60 days after you last used it to compare, create, or edit profiles.

If you're sure it was less than 60 days but the file is still not visible, perhaps the WikiTree team might be able find it for you if you contact them directly: for ways to do so see

Looks like you uploaded one when you 1st joined the end of February and you have created about 29 profiles from it until end of March.

WHAT?!?!?!? Was I supposed to know about this???

All of my work to clear all of those hundreds and hundreds of names over several days can be deleted without even notifying me?!?!

I checked to make sure the info I needed was on the GEDCOM 2-3 weeks ago. I didn't compare, edit or add anything at that time.

Edited to add: And when I go to my profile it doesn't say "file X was deleted", it says " you never uploaded a file". That's not confusing or anything. /s
