I must admit I don't know what a status card is, but I'd like to help you find what you need.

Are you asking how many generations from Jean-Baptiste Prevost you are?  That could be figured out given a couple of details.... starting with your profile, then each previous ancestor in that line leading back to JBP.  Once we determined your link to him then we can count generations.

Is this information you already have?  If so, you can count the generations yourself, or share the information here and we can do it.  If you don't have your ancestry information yet then that is where to start figuring from.

Would you like more help?  The best way is to sign up with WikiTree, enter a profile for yourself, parents, etc.  Then we connect you to the world-wide tree.  WikiTree has a Relationship Finder tool that you will enjoy very much.

Let me know if I can be of any help getting you started!

Just a guess, but since that profile is someone who was half Aboriginal, I'd guess that the person asking the question is interested in getting Indian Status in Canada. That's how First Nations people here get certain benefits. Though I don't think you can get it if your most recent First Nations ancestors lived almost 400 years ago.
If your Marie is your 8GGM or less you can apply to the Huron Nation for a status card.  But you will have to undergo some questioning for proof of relationship & reasons for wanting the status card.  They may or may not approve your application.  This is apparently the only Indian Nation that will consider Indian or Metis status that far back.  You can get the address of the internet using the search for Huron Nation.  There are only 1 or 2 places in Canada.  The most usually accessed one is around Manitoulin Island.  Hope this helps.
