During the course of performing routine Data Doctor improvements on profiles, I found a profile that causes me grave concern. I am not sharing the profile to avoid exacerbating the problem.
In a nutshell, a Wikiteer did a "cut and paste" of a private Wikitree message into the text profile of a potentially shared ancestor. It concerns a disagreement about the profile. The text of the message is included verbatim along with a link to the sender's profile and, wait for it, the sender's email address. This strikes me as a gross violation of privacy and probably a violation of multiple Wikitree policies. Even if I remove the private information, it will still be present in the Change History. This seems an inadequate resolution as I assert that the content should be removed from the change history as well.
How should I proceed?
EDIT: The WIkitree Team has addressed the issue within 6 hours! Very impressive. Retroactively adding the profile in question so that interested Wikiteers can see the fix now that the personally identifiable information has been removed .
