Birth/christening record for Thomas Makepeace (c. 1800)

+1 vote
I would greatly appreciate it if someone with access to any of the commercial sites could search for evidence of the birth of Thomas Makepeace. He married Maria Williams in Coventry in 1829 (both "of the parish") but died in Coventry in 1836, aged 36.

Thanks very much!

Hi Jonathan. Sorry to disappoint, but as far as I can see Ancestry does not have any birth record for him. There is a burial record which it sounds as if you've seen:

<ref>Via England, Select Deaths and Burials, 1538-1991 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Operations, Inc., 2014. Thomas Makepeace. Age: 36. Buried 30 March 1836 at St. Michael, Coventry. FHL film number: 502205. Image available. {{Ancestry Record|9840|8236959}}. Retrieved 3 July 2021.</ref>

or for subscribers

You may not have seen the image itself, so here is a sharing link:

There was another Thomas Makepeace born about 1802, apparently in Westbury, Buckinghamshire, but he doesn't seem to have a birth source either. He was buried in Brackley, Northamptonshire, on 3 July 1844, aged 42.

I had a look on find my past, there seem to be two couples, Joseph and Elizabeth, and William and Elizabeth Makepeace in Coventry with births around that time, but no Thomas is listed. I looked at the parish register each side of 1800. It's possible he just wasn't registered.

Edit, there's a James and Judah as well.
