First husband (Sperry) for Clarissa Charity Johnson

Question

I’m trying to find any information on a Sperry who is, supposedly, Clarissa Charity Johnson’s first husband. In her marriage listing to Sterling Daniels, she is listed as “Clarissa Sperry, widow”, but no information as to his first name has been found, yet.

Her second marriage was in New Haven, CT in 1779, where she was born, so it could be assumed that her first marriage was there too.

Clarissa Johnson Sperry married Sterling Daniels in New Haven CT.  She was the widow of a F. Sperry but I can not find out his first name.  Sterling Daniels was born in New London in 1750 and was a veteran of Bunker Hill and the Battle of Bennington.  They lived in South Williamstown MA and are buried there.  I am related to them as my grandmother was born a Daniels.
