Looking for information on William Paterson and Anna Mae Marshal

Question

My great grandfather, Abraham Lincoln Paterson, had a sister Marguerite Paterson(1855-1914), who married the mayor of Ohio, Stephen Buhrer (1825-1907). I saw in a book that her parents were William Paterson and Anna Mae Marshal. So, this is how I found out who my great great grandparents were. I want to learn more about them and who their parents are. William (~1807-1869) was from Scotland or Ireland and Anna Mae Marshall(~1838-1889) from NY, most likely upstate. I heard that William Paterson came to NJ as well and I live live here now.
