Why are children (born 1800 plus) private?

Messenger-70 has seven normal children and eight children hidden as "Private." Their children are also private.  Is this a standard practice?

No, that is not standard. Any profile of a person who is not living, and has no living children, should be Public or Open.

I'll make those private children public.
