new york resource found [closed]

Question

I just stumbled on this resource. I was looking for the original counties of New York, this includes several NYS maps at different periods with county outlines. It repeats and overlaps many other sites but has a lot of links to resources with information for this region.  ALBANY & EASTERN NEW YORK GENEALOGY  This is now in my bookmarks.

For the record, the 10 original counties, from 1683, are:

Albany

Dutchess

New York (Manhattan, but included the Bronx then)

Kings (Brooklyn)

Orange

Queens

Richmond (Staten Island)

Suffolk

Ulster

Westchester

Most of the counties in NY were originally part of Albany Co.
