Trace family member England to Australia

Question

I am researching Harris family who immigrated to Australia 1853. On 1841 Census list of names. Father John 52 Mother Jane 50 sisters Emily 10 Charlotte 12 arrived Jan 1853 on Countess of Elgin, Elizabeth 16 and sisters Jane 35, Rosa 18 and Lousia 20 arrived April 1853 on Kent or The Kent. Family members Mary Ann born 1826, Charles born 1831 and John born 1821 are missing, appreciate any help

Where in Australia did the family end up?  It's an awfully large place to just start looking without further info.

Where were they living in the 1841 census?
