Merging is confusing to me, need some help

Question

I entered John Harrison Draper ( Draper-4255 ) only to find a John Harrison Draper ( Draper-173 ) with no profile manager.

I accepted to be Profile Manager of Draper_173

So, since I now manage both profiles of the same person, can someone please give me step to step instructions how to merger my two profiles?

Step 1.  do this

Answer 1

Step 1 - Go to Draper-4255 profile.

Step 2 - Scroll to bottom of page

Step 3  - Under Matches and Merges, click link to "initiate a merge".

Step 4 - Enter Draper-173 in the ID-2 space

Step 5 - Click the big green MERGE button if you're absolutely sure or click the big green COMPARE button to see a side by side comparison of both if there is any remaining question in your mind (you will have another opportunity to merge them on the compare page).
