GEDCOMpare on 1600+ INDIs, only 20 matches - quickest upload method

I've just completed a GEDCOMpare procedure on a database which consists mostly of Hendry families in Morayshire, Scotland, and have dealt with the merging of overlapping data in the 20 matches that resulted after I'd excluded the unmatched.

Is there any way of uploading the unmatched other than by keying them in by hand with the occasional cut-and-paste? This is likely to be a very tedious and error-prone task, but I feel I should find a way of doing it for the sake of those WikiTree users ("WikiTree Surgeons"?) who contributed to the 20 matched individuals, and who could soon be bathing in a sea of new relatives (Mercilessly Mixed Metaphor warning).

Hi Michael,

I just had a look onto your part of our tree. Before you go on adding more ancestors you should source the profiles you added until now. None of your profiles has a reliable source.

The bios on some are unreadable as well. This happens with Gedcoms but should be easy to put into plain english.

Thanks, Dieter.

This is going to be very hard if you don't regard FamilySearch references to Scotland Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950 and the like as a reliable source.

Consider for example my entry for George Hendry (Hendry-1188).

"Scotland Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950", database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VQ7C-6LK : 12 February 2020), George Hendry in entry for William Hendry, 1729. "Scotland Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950", database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VQ7C-Z35 : 12 February 2020), George Henry in entry for John Henry, 1731. "Scotland Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950", database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VQ7C-NYZ : 12 February 2020), George Hendry in entry for James Hendry, 1734.

Is there an alternative way of expressing the information I've given, or do I have to find some other source for each individual.

Regards,

Michael

PS You didn't actually answer my question!

My fault.

I was concentrating on the new task (for me) of entering individuals into WikiTree, and copied-and-pasted the other GEDCOM stuff for that individual, fully intending to go back and clean up later.

Is there an easy way of listing all "my" individuals so that I can go through them systematically.

Regards,

Michael
Yes, go to my wikitree, click and scroll down to watchlist click and it will come up.

Sources with links to familysearch are good, but not trees.
Thanks, Marion, I hadn't realised that "my" individuals would automatically be on a watchlist.

Good to hear that FamilySearch citations are OK, but I don't understand what you mean when you say "not trees".

My late father David Hendry (1921-2002) put together the database I'm working through at present, and he got much of his information from IGI records in the '80s and '90s. This being the case, I should be able to track down FamilySearch citations for christenings and marriages, if not always for births.

Regards,

Michael
Citations for records on Family search are excellent sources - including those from Scotland.

But if you link to a tree on Family search, that is not considered to be a source.

The citation you posted for George Hendry isan excellent source.

If however you were to link to the FS tree for George  - https://www.familysearch.org/tree/pedigree/landscape/97W5-TF4 - this is not considered to be a good source at all
