DNA for Male Person

Question

My 3rd cousin has an Uncle who is the only surviving male on our Bacon family tree. Ancestry dont have dna kits for Australia. Can I order a male dna kit send to Uncle get his results and then post under his name on Wikitree. He is an elderly gentleman and this may be our only chance. Thank you.

Hi Marilyn, Family Tree DNA has a Bacon project. See: https://www.familytreedna.com/group-join.aspx?Group=Bacon  I would recommend that he take a yDNA 37-marker test to start. You can order the kit and have it sent to him.
