Categories for The Federal City, Washington City and Washington County?

Question

I would like a united   sub-category in which to place L'Enfant -he designed the Federal City, but there is no category for the history of Washington, DC.

There are also two overlapping categories for DC -can they be merged?

-edit: do we want to use the quadrants to sub-divide DC (particularly after Boss Shepherd http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Robey_Shepherd and the McMillan Commission 'City Beautiful' work)?

It also seems that we need a merger of http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:District_of_Columbia_Cemeteries  and

the same 4 cemeteries listed under   Category: Washington, District of Columbia, if someone from the Categorisation Project has not already begun to look at that?

While it mat seem redundant the cemetery categories are set up this way to be consistant. Cemeteries are categorized by locality and then grouped together bt county, then the counties bt state and then by counrty. Since Washington is the city (locality)  cemeteries are first placed there. The city is coterminous with the District which in this case is the equivulant of a state and a county for our purposes so cemeteries are placed there also. if you look at http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:United_States_Cemeteries you'll see Category: District of Columbia Cemeteries with the 50 states

Fair enough, thanks Dan.  I know you are busy right now, so I will not pester you about the Federal City.  

I appreciate your taking the time to respond to this one.  In a few weeks or so, can we contemplate coming back to the question of categories for DC history?
