For your convenience, here is the project page for your review: Integrators Project.

Why do we need Integrators?

The Integrators work in a variety of ways to facilitate the integration of the WikiTree website and the Genealogist to Genealogist Forum (G2G) so that they function together as one entity.

For example: When someone poses a question like "Was my great-great-grandma So-and-So in the 1900 Census?" helpful members find the answer to the question and post it on the G2G forum. The Integrators strive to connect any new information with the appropriate profiles or to create new profiles using the information.

Set your own hours, overtime if you wish. Earn G2G Points, paid by the click!

Requirements:

  1. Honor Code signee
  2. Active in the G2G Forum
  3. WikiTree member for at least three months
  4. Pre-1700 certified
  5. 100 or more non GEDCOM contributions
  6. The integrators tag is an option you might follow for opportunities to take action on posts.
  7. No current or active MIRs.

If you wish to join us, please ANSWER this post. We would love to have you!

hi Pip!  Really appreciate what you are doing!  I sometimes do some of those things that Integrators do...but i'm very much a dilettante;  please let me know how much committment is required to be on the team!

Cheers

Sorry I'm late in responding, Anon. What we do is look for old G2G posts that have not been answered and see if we can find information that is being requested. We create profiles or edit ones already present on WikiTree. There is no time requirement, just participation every so often. We also have a monthly Integrator's challenge where we post what we find, and get points for the challenge.
I am not very good with g2g as often can't find what I want on there is there a link to where things are posted  So do you mean things like "was x married to Y in 1886 in Bloggstown"  as otherwise still a little unclear what and where to look for whatever!
Yes, there is. At the top of the G2G Forum there is a link to "Unanswered" questions. I go back several months and look at those, seeing if I can find any information on FamilySearch or Ancestry and post answers to those unanswered questions.
So you don't add to a profile just put the answers under the asked question ? And what is an integrators challenge?

If you can edit a profile, then yes, do that. If someone asked for parents, for example, or a spouse/children, and you find them, then you can create the profiles as long as you have the evidence included on the profiles.

See this link to learn more detailed info:

And here’s the info on the Challenge:

Okay Pip I think I have the idea now Please sign me up and I will see what I can do as time permits

YES! This is perfect. I adopt orphans all the time, connect whole families and add new profiles to complete the groups whenever possible. Still learning how much Wiki has to offer.

Thanks for all of this.

I'd like to join. I'm not an expert on how to integrate, but I have a rough idea and I think it's important for the community.
